On June the 12th, Evergrande Cowala Dairy was invited to Help Children with Autism Charity Auction Night. Over $117k was raised for the night, which was a huge success. As one of the main sponsors, Evergrande Cowala Dairy bid several charity items with a total amount of $37k becoming the top buyer at the night.
Help Children with Autism was initiated by Young Business Women in NZ Incorporated and Foundation of Youth Development NZ. The idea is to make the public more aware of what children with autism need and encourage the general population to join helping the children grow better. At the night, National Party President Mr Peter Goodfellow, Chairperson for Foundation of Youth Development Ms Desley Simpson, MP Mr Simon O’Connor, Children’s Autism Foundation General Manager Ms Teresa Moore, Evergrande Cowala Dairy Chairperson Mr Xu Wen and GMP Dairy’s General Manager Mr Karl Ye were all invited. Other guests such as government officials, business elites, painting artists, sponsorship partners, sister associations’ representatives, local media etc were also presented.
Four paints by children with Autism, paints by a Taiwan artist and All Blacks rugby T-shirt with autograph by all the rugby team members were purchased by Evergrande Cowala Dairy at the night. Evergrande Cowala Dairy also donated a Cowala baby formula-branded football shirt with autograph by Economic Development Minister Hon Steven Joyce, MP Jami-Lee Ross, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in NZ Mr Zhang Fan and Evergrande Dairy Chairman Mr Xu Wen.
This shirt was sold for $3,880 by Mr Liu Jianxiong the President of Futian Business Association. All funds raised at the night would go to Children’s Autism Foundation to better support children with Autism and their families.
