Chinese New Year is an important Chinese festival celebrated at the turn of the Chinese calendar. It is also the time of the year where families gather for their annual “reunion”. Chinese New Year is a time to honor one's elders and families visit the oldest and most senior members of their extended families, usually their parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.

GMP Dairy works along with New Zealand’s “Young Business Woman in NZ Association” in supporting Auckland’s nursing homes. GMP Dairy proudly donates our Cowala Skim Milk powder to the elderly in need.

On 28th February, last Day of Chinese New Years, YBWNZA visited “Avonlea Rest home” in Auckland,; bringing them Cowala Milk powder, wishing the elderly a blissful and happy New Year.

As New Zealand’s first Chinese nursing home, “Avonlea Rest Home” has been serving Asian elderly groups for over 10 years. They provide professional and thoughtful services. Mr. Steven Tan, Dean of “Avonlea Rest Home” shows sincere gratitude to YBWNZA and GMP Dairy for supporting the nursing home and caring for the elderly.

At GMP, we believe we’ve got a responsibility to give back to our local communities. Every year we help set up and support, educational, charitable and environmental programmes designed to help a wide range of people and communities. GMP Dairy Limited has been an active part of New Zealand communities since 2012, and we are proud of the positive contribution we make. We are honored to see that our products are beneficial to those in need and will continue to support those in our community who are struggling or vulnerable.
